2 days @ Kuala Lumpur

|
Friday 9th of January 2009.

Jason, Calvin, Kay Enn, Lucas, and Xin Wen.

We had our dinner at Paddington House of Pancakes. First time in my life :D Jakun...
I am not a fans of pancake, that's why i wouldn't bother to try out Paddington. Second issue is because the pancake is simply over-price. Its only made of flour and they are charging 20-30 buck!!

Very interesting to read the menu, all sorts of name can be seen. Probably they have run out of idea on how to name their food. I once came across Tokyo, New York, India, Belgium ??? Huh, how are we suppose to know the content of the Tokyo at one glance?

I love the decoration with Chinese New Year theme. Everything is in red, even my hair now is in red colour. ahahahahah.

Kay Eann and Pei Pei

Tiny pancakes with chocolates and peanuts toppings. I was told even someone who bring the whole rice cooker to the washbowl and thought of washing the rice cooker CAN prepare better pancakes. Just before she turn on the tap water, someone was like shouting STOP!! AH.... Still manage to save that poor rice cooker :D Everyone was like standing far away from the rice cooker afraid that it will explode when power on. hahahahahah.

Calvin with this breakfast pancakes meal

Kay Eann

Seafood Platter for 2 person. I have no idea what is the name of this dish. Taste : 3/5 Presentation : 4/5 Price: 3/5

Honestly speaking this is not really that fantastic. But then this is highly rated by the waiter who take the order. Disappointing.

Second shot taken because it is blocked by the yellow thingy. I have no idea why it turns out to be so dark.

The next day,

Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC)

Jason was so excited wanted to get to the bridge. But when we actually get to the counter, no more tickets available. Expected! Its 3 pm by then. Usually, the tickets will be given off by 10-11 am. Even I myself have not been to the Sky Bridge yet. heheheheh.

WikiPedia Says:

"KLCC houses mostly luxury and fashionable shops, as well as cafes, restaurants, a 12 screen cinema, a concert hall, an art gallery, and a Science Discovery Centre, over 6 floors. It is almost directly underneath the Petronas Twin Towers, the 3rd tallest buildings in the world (and the tallest twin towers). It is one of Malaysia's most popular tourist destinations."

When we arrive there at 3 pm, thanks to the train (KTM) service that delayed for Hours. Huh. The public transport in this country is seriously hopeless. Can never rely on them. Will have bad experience with the public transport most of the time. Bus never come on time. Cab will give price before you actually step into the car. 2 station will need about 30 minutes for the train to reach. Ticket Machine spoil and the queue will reach up to 30 + people waiting just to get the ticket. Huh!!!!! Forget it. Stay at home if you do not own a car in Malaysia.

So we had our tea time at Nippon Tei, Jap Restaurant.

First time in this Jap Restaurant because it doesn't look cheap in any way. Located right at the top floor of Suria KLCC. Just next to the PetroScience.

Chicken Teriyaki
I can neve remember the exact name of the dish in the menu unless i take a photo shot of it. Well, to me this looks like a teriyaki.

Yummy... It is served with the hot plate so the temperature remains warm for quite sometime.

I myself ordered this. Tempura Udon.
Presentation 9/10
Taste 9 /10
Price 7 /10
Environment 8 /10

I dont expect to taste so good. The portion is enough for 2 person. It is too much for me to finish up the whole thing myself. I'll be back there for this again.

Overall the food served in Nippon Tei is acceptable with a standard. When i look at the price, i will have to divide the price by 5 then only it looks more acceptable to me. Hahahah, maybe i am exaggerating but this one cost 5 times of what you find in the hawker stall. Ok la, hawker stall don't serve Japanese food.

To catch up with the time we quickly head to Sungai Wang. Yes, have to negotiate for the ride from KLCC to Sungai Wang.

Lot 10 (Green Colour Building)

We couldn't find much things in Sungai Wang and decided to walk all the way to Pavilion. :D

Pavilion Entrance

Lion Dance. Omg We miss that show.

I would take this opportunity to wish everyone here HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR.

The went clubbing that night and i decided not to join along because i myself is not a fan of Clubbing. I just hate the Smoky Environment. I was told that it is very dramatic that night. Almost everyone throw out. Its not fun to see drunk people with you especially that is YOUR friend. My advice, Stop when its enough. Enough is Enough. Don't act like a Hero.

Those who went clubbing woke up only at 1 pm.
We went Midvalley during that afternoon to pick up Lucas. Then head to Kepong to have our dinner. Initially the plan is to get to Genting before its late. But then, somehow the Over-populated pasar malam got us stuck-ed inside for an hour. Which means an hour delay there. We manage to depart to Genting at 9 pm. Geezz, First time in my life driving up at night with 5 people in the car. Thank god they all reach home in one piece.

Uh, i reach home at 3 am and i goota wake up early to work next day. Floating around the office!! I shall not make such attemp again. I am getting older. 4 hour sleep is just NOT enough for me.

Kei Tak Shek at Kepong. I was told this is their place of origin, then they branch out to SS2, KL, and some other branch which i dont really remember.

They serve really good desert. Shown in the picture below is black glutinous rice. I have no idea wads the actualy name for this. but i request for something black. They suggested this to me. :D

Black desert :)

We have our Dim Sum Session and "Light Dinner" here.

Next is Genting. There is nothing we can do 10 Pm besides Casino :D I am just impressed with the amount of bet that a person willing to place. Banker and Player Rm 1k per game? Win or Lose you will gain or lose 1k in less than 30 second. This is faster than a credit card transaction.
I dare not take such risk.

I even heard of cases like Genting authority give free service to send the casino customer down the hill. They have lost everything!! Including the fare back home. I wonder if they can still recognise their home?

**People born in the Year of the Ox are patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others. They tend, however, to be eccentric, and bigoted, and they anger easily. They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed. They are most compatible with Snake, Rooster, and Rat people.**

To certain extend i believe part of this description fits into my personality. :D
