A Bomb During CNY

Happy Chinese New Year....

Home Sick... Haih..

My cousin will be busy with the preparation for wedding ceremony and the wedding dinner. I wont be able to attend the dinner :( Oh man this sux. Everyone is busy collecting ang pow and i am suffering here with the coldness. The only thing looks red is my hair and the building where Cezanne is located.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish them a blissful marriage and may your wish come true.

She is younger than me!! hehe my Cousin sis. I have no idea how long exactly they have been together. but i know its not easy to reach this state. Last time i meet them was in Singapore when i was searching for jobs. They went around taking wedding photos in studio. So busy with the preparationg years ahead.

Came to think about it, its also good that i don't attend such event. So people won't be asking when will it be your turn? Honestly speaking it wont be anytime soon. Probably another 10-15 years? hahahaha. Never know.

:D
Cheers

2 days @ Kuala Lumpur

|
Friday 9th of January 2009.

Jason, Calvin, Kay Enn, Lucas, and Xin Wen.

We had our dinner at Paddington House of Pancakes. First time in my life :D Jakun...
I am not a fans of pancake, that's why i wouldn't bother to try out Paddington. Second issue is because the pancake is simply over-price. Its only made of flour and they are charging 20-30 buck!!

Very interesting to read the menu, all sorts of name can be seen. Probably they have run out of idea on how to name their food. I once came across Tokyo, New York, India, Belgium ??? Huh, how are we suppose to know the content of the Tokyo at one glance?

I love the decoration with Chinese New Year theme. Everything is in red, even my hair now is in red colour. ahahahahah.

Kay Eann and Pei Pei

Tiny pancakes with chocolates and peanuts toppings. I was told even someone who bring the whole rice cooker to the washbowl and thought of washing the rice cooker CAN prepare better pancakes. Just before she turn on the tap water, someone was like shouting STOP!! AH.... Still manage to save that poor rice cooker :D Everyone was like standing far away from the rice cooker afraid that it will explode when power on. hahahahahah.

Calvin with this breakfast pancakes meal

Kay Eann

Seafood Platter for 2 person. I have no idea what is the name of this dish. Taste : 3/5 Presentation : 4/5 Price: 3/5

Honestly speaking this is not really that fantastic. But then this is highly rated by the waiter who take the order. Disappointing.

Jason , Xwen, Lucas, Calvin, Kay Eann, and Pei Pei.

Second shot taken because it is blocked by the yellow thingy. I have no idea why it turns out to be so dark.

The next day,

Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC)

Jason was so excited wanted to get to the bridge. But when we actually get to the counter, no more tickets available. Expected! Its 3 pm by then. Usually, the tickets will be given off by 10-11 am. Even I myself have not been to the Sky Bridge yet. heheheheh.

WikiPedia Says:

"KLCC houses mostly luxury and fashionable shops, as well as cafes, restaurants, a 12 screen cinema, a concert hall, an art gallery, and a Science Discovery Centre, over 6 floors. It is almost directly underneath the Petronas Twin Towers, the 3rd tallest buildings in the world (and the tallest twin towers). It is one of Malaysia's most popular tourist destinations."

When we arrive there at 3 pm, thanks to the train (KTM) service that delayed for Hours. Huh. The public transport in this country is seriously hopeless. Can never rely on them. Will have bad experience with the public transport most of the time. Bus never come on time. Cab will give price before you actually step into the car. 2 station will need about 30 minutes for the train to reach. Ticket Machine spoil and the queue will reach up to 30 + people waiting just to get the ticket. Huh!!!!! Forget it. Stay at home if you do not own a car in Malaysia.

So we had our tea time at Nippon Tei, Jap Restaurant.

First time in this Jap Restaurant because it doesn't look cheap in any way. Located right at the top floor of Suria KLCC. Just next to the PetroScience.

Chicken Teriyaki
I can neve remember the exact name of the dish in the menu unless i take a photo shot of it. Well, to me this looks like a teriyaki.

Yummy... It is served with the hot plate so the temperature remains warm for quite sometime.

I myself ordered this. Tempura Udon.
Presentation 9/10
Taste 9 /10
Price 7 /10
Environment 8 /10

I dont expect to taste so good. The portion is enough for 2 person. It is too much for me to finish up the whole thing myself. I'll be back there for this again.

Overall the food served in Nippon Tei is acceptable with a standard. When i look at the price, i will have to divide the price by 5 then only it looks more acceptable to me. Hahahah, maybe i am exaggerating but this one cost 5 times of what you find in the hawker stall. Ok la, hawker stall don't serve Japanese food.

To catch up with the time we quickly head to Sungai Wang. Yes, have to negotiate for the ride from KLCC to Sungai Wang.

Lot 10 (Green Colour Building)

We couldn't find much things in Sungai Wang and decided to walk all the way to Pavilion. :D

Pavilion Entrance

Lion Dance. Omg We miss that show.

I would take this opportunity to wish everyone here HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR.

Year of OX

Below is just a series of Photo Shot taken from the front door of Pavilion.

The Bull Looks really Fierce from this angle.

:)

I Like the colour of the decoration tree. Pinkish Sakura Feel.
.-.

In the shopping center, Jason got very excited with the display motorbike in the clothing shop.

He wish to have one of this as a Birthday Present, i Guess??... Good Luck :D

Go Buy TOTO or Magnum, Who knows you might be the lucky ones :D Gong Xi Fa Chai

We had our tea break in Char Chan Teng.

They looks like the ambassador advertising for this coffee shop.

I Wouldn't want to mention where we have our dinner.. Urgh.... Shucks.~

___________________________________________________________________

The went clubbing that night and i decided not to join along because i myself is not a fan of Clubbing. I just hate the Smoky Environment. I was told that it is very dramatic that night. Almost everyone throw out. Its not fun to see drunk people with you especially that is YOUR friend. My advice, Stop when its enough. Enough is Enough. Don't act like a Hero.

Those who went clubbing woke up only at 1 pm.
We went Midvalley during that afternoon to pick up Lucas. Then head to Kepong to have our dinner. Initially the plan is to get to Genting before its late. But then, somehow the Over-populated pasar malam got us stuck-ed inside for an hour. Which means an hour delay there. We manage to depart to Genting at 9 pm. Geezz, First time in my life driving up at night with 5 people in the car. Thank god they all reach home in one piece.

Uh, i reach home at 3 am and i goota wake up early to work next day. Floating around the office!! I shall not make such attemp again. I am getting older. 4 hour sleep is just NOT enough for me.

Kei Tak Shek at Kepong. I was told this is their place of origin, then they branch out to SS2, KL, and some other branch which i dont really remember.

They serve really good desert. Shown in the picture below is black glutinous rice. I have no idea wads the actualy name for this. but i request for something black. They suggested this to me. :D

Black desert :)

We have our Dim Sum Session and "Light Dinner" here.

Next is Genting. There is nothing we can do 10 Pm besides Casino :D I am just impressed with the amount of bet that a person willing to place. Banker and Player Rm 1k per game? Win or Lose you will gain or lose 1k in less than 30 second. This is faster than a credit card transaction.
I dare not take such risk.

I even heard of cases like Genting authority give free service to send the casino customer down the hill. They have lost everything!! Including the fare back home. I wonder if they can still recognise their home?

They have fierce tempers and although they speak little, when they do they are quite eloquent. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed. They are most compatible with Snake, Rooster, and Rat people.**

To certain extend i believe part of this description fits into my personality. :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Work @ Kuantan

|
I should not complain that i do not have time to blog when i have to wait for 5 hours just to get a hair Cut! God Damn it.

I was in Kuantan for the past two days. In short, this is a place where i wouldn't want to be. Very thankful that i am located/based far away from that place. Very last minute notice, rushing like mad just to get everything in order. I myself have not receive much training on the machine but we have to just figure out how it works and get the machine up and going. Good news is that everything went on smoothly :D

Okay, Started at ridiculous hour, 5 am in the morning i have to wake up and get myself prepared and pack everything waiting for transport to the airport. We have to pick up a colleague coming from Sg. arriving at 7.05 am in the morning. In the end, we was told that TigerAirways arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule time, and he waited for 40 minutes. Heading straight to Kuantan. 3-4 hour journey. I was so excited when we pass by the toll house that lead us to Genting Highland. This is where my plan comes about. I was telling myself, OMG i must go Genting tomorrow. What is so exciting there? Just because they have sign up a card for me, and was told that if i manage to collect one point within one month, i will be able to change it to the permanent card. Wtf, First thing in my mind i was thinking, How much i need to spend before i could actually gain that 1 point. looking at the machine the point grow by 0.01 with every Rm 5 bet. Ok thats noob. This is machine operated. If i were to place the card on the table, it will go by time. Tick Tock...... The good news is that, when i sign up for this new card, I won RM 20 :D Enough for my petrol and supper. ( Its part of their strategy, don't get trapped )

Ok, the topic for this entry is suppose to be Kuantan trip.. Genting shouldn't be in the discussion topic.

Along the highway, i have no idea why my bladder just filled up really fast. I did not drink liters of water. Damn, one R&R to another will takes more than 15 minutes. At this point of time, 1 minutes seems to be like an hour. I remember my cousin once told me " She was with my little cousin, 6 years old, taking a bus ride back to my hometown, Lumut. In the bus, that little cousin was holding a bottle of water and the next moment he is struggling to finish up the bottle of water, and my cousin asked him ' You very thirsty?' , Guess what he answered? , I need the bottle so that i can pee!!!" Hahahahahahahaha..... I have the thought of doing the same thing but unfortunately it will be very embarrasing. Thus, shouting for the next R&R. I couldn't stand straight when we arrive at the R&R. Huh.....

3 Hours later we arrive at Kuantan.

Kryptor Compact

The first mission is to move this machine from the institution to the nearby hospital under the same institution. It is quite a distance away. I am surprise that the whole machine can be dismantle and placed into the -Waja-. The best is we will be able to get the machine up and going without any prior experience or training :D Of course we struggle alot reading up the 200 pages of manual and follow each and every step. Heheheh

Having done that we proceed to our hotel and check in, at about 5 pm. We made phone booking and was told the price o be at RM 207. When we arrive at the hotel, we was told the price to be at RM 240. Big fuss. Unsatisfactory. Argument. Nasty. Dramatic. U name it they have it. :D

Vistana Hotel Entrance to Lobby.
Sorry forget to take picture of the lobby. ahaha.

View from our room. Vistana.

Vistana Hotel, Swimming Pool

After the quarrel, asking for manager and person in charge and all sort kind of shit. We manage to get the room, i suppose at lower rate, for a night. Considering Kuantan, this hotel definitely has its standard for at least 4 star? ( Lobby, Swimming pool, Breakfast, and Good Service?) I have no idea how they rank the hotels with stars? From my impression if the hotel has a casino, an additonal star will be given. So i assume with all this facilities the star is given accordingly. Hmm.... One utama have a tennis court and a ball room. That's why it is rank with 5 or 6 star?

Sofa bed for me :( This is suppose to be the chair. Unfortunately, we have 3 person in total. And the other two big size one slept on the king size bed. God Damn IT!!

We just took a quick shower and head back to the place where the machine is being placed. Huh. Goota work OT to get the machine up. So much of work need to be done. We got the pass to stay up till 11 am. The place is really freaky.

The institution is just located opposite Kuantan Parade.

Everytime i pass by this dummies i i can feel the adrenalin rush from the heart to the brain. Luckily i survived that night. I almost got heart attack running around the rooms of dummies. By the way that dummie looks like having constipation.

This is the pelvic bone and the skull of the baby. It is very interesting to see how to bone expand that enable the baby to be squeezed out of the stomach.. Hahahaha. Together with my colleague that just upgraded became a father 1 month ago. He explained to me how does the baby actually came about. Hehe. Painful experience.

Poop. Thats how the baby head comes about. To have a clearer picture of what is happening, the picture below will explain how does baby come into this world. I was told that the doctor will use a vacumm to hold the baby head while the mother pushes the baby out of the cervix.

One question arise. What if the body remain inside while the head is detached during the procedure? OMG. I was told it might happen. And because they use vacumm, the baby head will turn oval like egg shape. Hahahahah. Very interesting dummy room.

This is where our dear friend wanted to try out the electromagnetic pad. You know those two handle that doctor use as a last resolution for heart hailure patient. It is attached to the electrical source and powered on. He almost put it to his own chest to test the power. Luckily its not that comical. He didn't lie on the floor Phew~~ Oh i just found out that it is called defibrilator.

This dummy simulating adult chocking. The sponge ball is suppose to be stuffed inside the mouth. Honestly, the picture looks more like constipation. I was alone roaming around playing with the dummy, once again i got shock of my life when i was trying to pull the string out from the mouth. The sponge fell down and i thought the head is going to fall off also. Therefore, i lay my hand out hoping i will be able to catch the head before it reaches the floor.. Hahahahahaha. So jakun.

Cough Cough.

This is the worst room that I will have to come across. During night time, they switched off all the light. This is the room that we have to pass by in order to get the reagent and kits from the fridge. WTF! The Staff Nurse even recommend that we can just save our one night hotel stay and accompany this dummy for the night. 3 bed just nice for us. Geezzz..

We end the day at 11 Pm.

Next morning, taking random shots at Kuantan town.

Before that we have free breakfast for two person, so we quickly get ready and head down to the cafeteria for our breakfast. I have to make my own porridge, my own salad, and my own Coffee :D

Hotel Cafeteria

Plain Simple Porridge

Salad

Heading back to the institution to continue with our work....................

This looks very similar to Malacca town.

This is the reason why i said " This is the place where i wouldn't want to be! " If i have a choice. Even if i have no choice also, this is not the place i will be staying for long term.

We have accomplish our mission within that short period of time. Bad news is that we goota rush back to the airport for 10.15 pm flight. Departing at 5.30 pm from Kuantan. Every minutes count. With the speed of 150 km per hour. We manage to get to the airport just 15 minutes before the bording time. (Its not check in time) Luckily the gate is still open. :D
