Over the month, i went around looking for the best Christmas tree in town. But to me i think the best Christmas tree is the one in Living Quarter. *I do not have a pic* For the purpose of sales they got to decorate the tree with everything they have in shop.
Maybe to some people who doenst know how does Christmas comes about. A quick search in Wikipedia will have answer to all your doubt and question. In short, Christmas has something to do with Jesus :S Either the day he was born or the date of conception.
Singapore - Vivo City
It looks like an inverted green colour ice-cream cone. Its huge but its not realistic. Probably one of the few outdoor Christmas tree display. Weatherproof. Located at the top floor of Vivo City.
Singapore - Tiong Bahru Plaza
I was waiting for my colleague to fetch me when i went down to Sg on duty. They have lots of mini shopping complex (Plaza) that i believe it is build for the convenience of the children/teenager there. I was there during the working hour and I saw the complex is flooded with teenager on school uniform. :S
Singapore - Takashimaya
The decoration have the repetitive motive, to me it looks very dull and not very attractive :S I think they build the christmas tree as big as possible so one Tree is enough for the whole court. Cut Cost. Economy is bad :S
Major Shopping Complex in Malaysia
One Utama
The making of Christmas Theme Stage @ One U Oval Court. hehe. I am impressed by the amount of budget they have to make different theme at different occasion. The end product is always the best among any other shopping complex.
At this point of time, i have no idea what are they going to come up with. The White colour theme is there. :D
I thought they going to build some high rise puzzle that make people got lost in the middle, searching for a way out. ZzZzZz ... Saw that Zig Zag Wooden Block ? :D But then i think the oval court is simply too small for this to happen.
The main stage for Christmas Event Performance.
They have an event calander with different performance each and every day. I can't remember what is the event. i myself did not attend any of the show organised here. I heard from my colleague whereby there is a DisneyPrincess show. Whereby they accept the application online and the contestant will go on 2 minute show on the stage. When asked how was it? The answer is Oh it is very competitive. Yes, we already know the answer. :D
A week later........
They do not cut down any pine tree. Replace the tree with light bulb. Oh well, at least we still know that it represent the Christmas tree. rite? I think it could be the reason of environmental friendly. (Yes, most of the Christmas tree is fake. But this is something different from the rest; unique). This is something different from the rest of the shopping complex.
Christmas at One Utama
Oh, the block is the seat for the audience. Poker Theme. They encourage the shopper to gamble during this Christmas Season? I can't think of any reason to relate Christmas event with Playing cards. Swt -.-"
First thing came to my mind, Where is the rabbit? The Clock lying on the floor is actually operational but where is the rabbit??? The Time is accurate but again Where is the White Rabbit? Perhaps the rabbit has gone out for a tea break. Its meant for photoshot.
MidValley
I love the colour combination used on this tree decoration.
I have no idea what the elephant is doing on the stage. I think they are having some jungle theme. When talk about Christmas, first thing come to my mind is Snow and Cold. But why on earth there is so many animal here together with Christmas tree? Africa Style is it?
This Clown head looks very scary. It reminds me of the Luna Park at Sydney. Native facial expression. The Christmas tree taken individually looks great but when it is taken from far, the whole stage looks alot like the jungle feel. Luckily they do not have a Tarzan on the stage!!
Mid Valley South Court
The one and only Santa Clause that i have seen so far. Yet, its the fake ones. How come most of the shopping complex emphasize on the Christmas tree but there isn't any Father of Christmas at all??
The Garden
I have to climb all the way to the top of the building just to take this pathetic photo :D They do not have any big court at The Garden. So they couldn't build the Christmas tree horizontally. Therefore, they could only go vertically up the roof top. :S I think this is no longer ice-cream cone. Its more like Un-peeled Corn (Jagung). Fresh from the farm :D
Sunway Pyramid
Pyramid have 3 Court - Blue, Orange, and Main
Toy Theme Christmas at Sunway Pyramid
The present is super huge if you were to compare with the size of the Christmas tree. How i wish i will get a present as big as the Tree But of course not that Yellow Clown Head Pls !!!! Its Striking and Ugly -.-" I have no idea what is the mini white colour chair doing there. Outstanding.
I feel so warm when i walk to the other corner of the shopping complex. The roof is orange in colour. The tree is burning red colour. The light bulb is also red! Even the centralize aircond is not efficient enough to take out the heat produced by the *Christmas Tree*
This seems to be the trend for 2008 Christmas Tree. Using lots of light bulb. We have almost similar concept with the one in One Utama. But this is not purely LED light. The structure is covered with pink lace.
Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC)
I think they re-use the Christmas Tree over the years. I have feeling that i saw this Christmas tree before!!! This is really huge. When the tree is too big, the decoration looks so empty and plain.
I remember i was there because of the PC fair organized recently at KLCC (Conventional Center). Otherwise i wont be there to take this photo.
Pavilion
They do not have a huge Christmas Tree indoor. Everything else is nice but not the Christmas tree. The shops is spacious and grand. All the premium brand is located at this shopping complex. Filthy rich individual will enjoy this place very much. But Poor people like will only be able to walk around taking random shots. :D
I went into the shops where i used to buy my pants from many years back. From what i remember, previously the maximum price for a single piece of jeans is about 400 to 500. But i was Surprise that when i step in today that new release Premium Jeans Cost from 699 to 899 :D wtf!
I was telling my friend Clothing and Accessories will increase in 20 to few hundred ringgit and yet It can be accepted. But for Groceries, increment of 20 cent is a big thing to most of the people. Maybe its the difference between necessity and necessary. :D
There is actually a walkway along the Christmas Tree that can actually fit a person in Between. There is even a Stairs to walk all the way to the top. I think this is the purpose that it is being build in such simple and yet useful decoration.
