Addon (+) MeiTheng.
Yah we got alot special guest :D

Together we meet at Gold Coast, yes its also part of Brisbane, Queensland :S

This is where we spend our night playing police and thief. Card game that involve narrator, police, thief, and resident. Everyone will close their eyes and the narrator start the story. Right after that, the thief will wake up and pick on someone to "kill". Next the police(detective) will pick on the thief. (the narrator will guide him/her - by saying yes or no to the detective choice). Then, everyone will wake up and the narrator will reveal the mystery. Either the resident being killed or the thief is being caught. Interesting game but need b to big group of people in order confuse everyone :D -The probability to guess the correct person is lower i guess ;)

The concept is easy:
Police/Detective is to catch the Thief
Thief is to kill resident
Resident remain useless :P
Narrator tells story

Yes the service apartment is huge enough to accommodate 9 people.

The view from the apartment balcony is breathtaking. Listening to the wave. Lying next to the bridge right in the middle of the night :D wow. faints. Unfortunately, its winter. Someone find it breezy, comfortable and cozy. But i find it difficult to breathe .... hahahah i like cold but i can't stand the coldness. Shiver Shiver Shivering Cold. Just like the situation, i like to eat spicy food but i will sweat more than i run on the field for 2 hours.

It takes only 3 minute walk from the apartment door down to the beach. The apartment is just next to the beach.

If i am not mistaken this apartment is located at Broadbeach. So many types of beach along the whole stretch of Gold Coast beach. When i asked my friend what is nice/fun at Gold coast. The answer is Beach beach beaCh. Now i know why ;)

Walk all the way down then will came across what we are familiar with. Surfer Paradise.

Seriously i dont see any tower beside the beach. There is no lifeguard. If you drown, thats the end of your life. But i saw alot of red flag which shows that the beach is not suitable to swim or play around with.

Indeed very Broad.

Date: July 15th 2008
Place: Seaworld, Gold Coast.
Weather: Rainy day.

When, weather forecast says its going to rain, you better believe it. Its very accurate. When it rains, it going to be one whole day. As such, we decided to start our journey at Seaworld. ( haha Its ok even if we get wet there :S ) Rest early and prepare for tomorrow.

Rainy Rainy day.

We have got no choice, we bought ticket for 3 park. We only have 4 days there. Tentative plan 1 Park 1 Day. The only thing that we can do is to decide which Park to go on rainy days. Heheh. Sea and Water and Rain very much related.. So its 'ok' even if we are wet. Lucky thing nobody fall sick. Gogogo Seaworld. Everyone is with hoodie and cover the head with that little cap :S

Its not cool enough to take a newspaper to cover for the whole day. And we do not carry umbrella with us.. No choice, wet-wet la..

If you enlarge the picture, the pricing for the park entrance is there. If i am not mistaken. On average, each park cost about 50 AUD. OMG - god knows the economy will crash. That time i went i am spending on 3.12 rate and Now 2.40 (same as Singapore). Alot difference Ok.

Quickly rush to the first show, Fish Detective Sea Lion Show.

The pelican look so plastic :S

It feels very much like the cowboy show where people jump from buildings and random gunshot that scared the hell out of the audience. The difference is just that in this show, no gunshot, no suicide, but Random Sea Lion popping out from all the holes . Even from the sardine hole on the right hand corner. They actually send the Sea Lion into the hole and process into can. -.-" hahahahah lame

Fish Detective aka Sea Lion :)

Very interesting to see animals that understand human language. I wonder how they train the Sea Lion until they can make a show out from it.

Sesame Street Beach 'new' attraction -.-"

Its meant for kids. Cookie Monster and Elmo. I remember once my friend bought me an Elmo Jelly cake for my birthday. :D

Cookie Monster and Elmo.

Kai Jun, Mei Yeen, Xw

Very kiddy type of environment. Even the rides also looks so retarded. We approach this ride call Big Dive. No, we don't jump from top of building to simulate diving. I told you earlier, this park is meant for kids. -.-"

Whoa, Sesame Street Big Dive.

Big Dive is very much the not-so-thrilling version of Solero Shot(Genting)/Batman return(Movie World)/The Giant Drop (DreamWorld). The huge rope in the middle is for the person to drag themselve up the the top of the pole.

This is when everyone is laughing. You goota hold the rope so that you wont fall down. Purpose is to look at the scenery from top view. But the objective of the rope is for the person to control the level of free fall. Hold-n-let-go will give u jerking drop. Let go all at once will makes you drop like potato. Thanks to the good suspension, we dont actually drop till the bottom of the floor. Otherwise i could have broken my backbone. :D

This is the view from the top of *Big Dive*

They look at us as if we are the animal in the zoo :D

Another view from the top of *Big Dive*

Next, we proceed to more thrilling rides after the warm up session from Big Dive. Wow.
We have got Pirate and CorkScrew.

This bridge that link to both rides (CorkScrew and Pirate) looks really old. I think they should invest some money to clean the algae and moles from the surface layer of the bridge. We cross the river safely and we came to the ride call Pirate. The Ship that move left and right in 180 degree movement. My stomach get upset right after that Pirate ride. Ok soon after we proceed to the CorkScrew.

This ride is even older than me. Is it safe?

80% similarity to what we have here at Genting Highland. Rainy day, luckily the roller coaster didn't slip off from the track.

Turn around and around as if i'm in the washing machine. Well, at least dont have much of the gravity fall that makes people shout until out of breathe. I wanted to go on the rides but i am afraid of free fall. Its too much for my heart to take. This is the reason why i dont like The Giant Drop* geezzz.

Polar Bear. Lonely Bear. Guess what is the colour of polar bear fur? Its not what you see :D
Google will have the answer for u :S

I did not superimpose my picture to the seat. I have no idea why i just happen to glow in this picture. The reflection of light? White colour? So Bright? Mueahahah we now enter the real Seaworld. A visit to the underground aquarium. This is so much better than Aquaria KLCC.

They have lots of Starfish sample for the visitor to feel the surface of the Fish. How come this Fish doesn't have eyes?

Mini StarFish

There is a human in the cage surrounded by the fish. If i am not mistaken the person actually went down the water to feed the fish.

The sharks looks like a balloon.

Bloated Shark Baloon. heheheh. This reminds me of the show call TheShark. Did you know that shark is afraid of Dolphin? In the sea full of shark, you will more likely to stay alive if there is a dolphin with you!! Proven and tested by MythBuster.

This is the ugly looking creature that used to eat alot at the Malay Store nearby my office. The Stingray.

They have 4D show in all the themepark. Each with different theme.

Everyone looks very much like a robot with that 4D spec. Mei Yeen, Rachel, Kai Jun.

We proceed to the last attraction. Imagine Dolphin Show. They spent so much time to train up the dolphins. This is the show that i enjoy the most. Fasinating, exciting, and entertaining.

Our Best Friend Dolphins.

Shin Haur, Eugene,Wei Han, Siao Yen, Rachel, MeiYeen.

From the end of the SeaWorld we took the Mini Cable car back to the entrance of the SeaWorld.

Queue up 3 person in each cable car unit.

We miss this show early of the day. Catch the last show of the day. Start at 4pm.
WaterSki WipeOut.
Very interesting show.

That conclude our journey in the first world. SeaWorld.

I might have miss out alot details and attraction such as dugong discoveries, penguin point, water park and bermuda triangle. I goota rush this entry as i will be leaving to Penang with a group of Monash Friends. Long Lost Friend. :D

I'll be away for 3 days and by the time i come back, it will be the end of the year already. I still have alot things to post up but i can't seems to find time to do so. Each and every entry with pictures uploaded will take me more than 2 hours to complete.

31st Dec There is a mini concert at One Utama to conclude the year of 2008.

Just before that i hope i will be able to put up at least 3 more post regarding Christmas, Food, and 2008 Journey.

Till then :)

I have so many things in mind and yet i couldn't find time to type it out. Results, i slowly forget what i wanted to write. I must keep this going. Even with a short entry of update.

I will be heading to Singapore later in the evening. Probably will spend about 3 nights there. I'm feeling lethargic that everything seems to come at the wrong time.

I was so tempted when my cousin call me up yesterday telling me she have got so much cash to spend at Australia ask me to get immediate flight over. This is almost impossible at this point of time. I don't know how many things i much sacrifice in future because of this job. But i seriously hope that i wont lose much but Rather gain more things from this job. I am currently quite happy with the situation. And i never classify any job as an IDEAL job. Each and every sector/position/job have their own responsibility. If it too heavy to carry, we might find it very difficult and live with fear. If the responsibility is manageable, then there is no reason to complain. Everyone need to a job to filled up their time or work for living.
In the end, she message me and said she can't extend. I have no idea what is the reason. But they all will be coming back by today. My cousin who graduated will be back here by 28th of December. I have not plan my Christmas Holiday yet. But i am still looking for place to go for next week.

END of the year, company being generous by giving half day off. But having no plans ahead is just miserable. Keep asking, where should i go ar? DO you have any idea where to go? OMG Christmas, where to celebrate? Nothing in my mind and i afraid i will end up staying at home. I can't just waste my Long break. I have about 5 and half day including all the public holiday.

This coming trip to Singapore will give me a chance to celebrate Early Christmas over there. I will be taking lots of photos from Orchard Road and the Shopping center. So excited, but this is also for work purpose/ i will be on duty. The time i have over there is pretty limited. Hope that i will be able to have my Lonely Christmas Celebration there. DOT!

I wanted to Shop. But i shall save my money for next month trip. I just have to get used to spending on currencies that is much stronger than what i earn. Singapore and Australia for example. Everything seems to be so cheap when you buy things at country that have weaker currencies. Thailand and Bandung for example. This is life. To balance up the equation. Don't travel anywhere and spend in your own country. :S Life Sux.

My colleague once told me that if he one day become a millionaire then he will establish an Old Folks Home. My jaw almost drop on the floor. He been counting every single cents. I Seriously doubt his counting ability. Have you every heard of the phrase ( Indian Counting the Grapes? ) Well, that simply means, no matter what that person count, the account just don't seems to be correct. I think it could be the reason that grapes and Indian both have similiarity. They are both black :S thats why they kind of camouflage and lost count in the middle... Hahahahahh

...................................................................................................................................................

Yesterday i went back to my ex-house. Apartment that i stay 17 years ago. This is the place where i wouldn't want to be for the rest of my life. Some people just dont seems to have the luxury. Its fated that they have to struggle throughout their life for living. With so much responsibility on hand. The stress is there. This leads to health problem. (Again strong education can actually get you out from this) Trust me, this is the world, the Reality! I pity them, but life is still life. Dont have too much expectation, you will be happier thinking/living that way.

Interesting is that i saw they have their own recipy in making house wine. Simple ingredient. LEMON, GRAPES (black one), and SUGAR CUBE. Placed it layer by later alternatively. Keep it sealed up in a glass bottle. I think the fruits will ferment and give rise to what we call it WINE. I dont know how the mechanism actually works. All ingredient have to be placed inside the bottle Clean and Dry. Cannot have a single drop of water. Otherwise you will end up eating/drinking moles. I shall experiement my own fruit wine soon. We shall see what it will turn up to be.

I am tired/exhausted.

No picture for this post. reluctant to search for any related photos. I am going to continue my patapon journey now.....

Pata Pata Pata Pon.......

Bless me during the Sg trip.

Brisbane (UQ,DFO,City)

Brisbane is a very nice place to go during winter. And I always choose Australia for my winter Holiday. Maybe could relate back the reason that i miss a chance to study overseas with the degree that i took back in 2006. This is the new place where i stay for the rest duration of stay (Brisbane Street).

The sky is completely Cloud-Less. Lucky i did not get Skin cancer due to the UV that i am exposed to. I stay indoor most of the time. I just can't tolerate the feeling of staying under the sun although the weather is cold. At the same time Its PAINFUL. :S
The blue colour tone of the sky is just fascinating.

Yes, I stay right on top of the hill. I always been wondering why i feel so tired everytime walking up this road. It is broad enough that the road doesn't look sloopy, but its hell damn tiring to walk up everyday, whereever I go.

UQ

The University of Queensland St.Lucia campus is just 15 minutes away from the place i stay. I was told that it is very near. When i actually walk, gosh It takes forever. I think it could be due to the Sloppy road. Going up and down with the slope of 40 Degree.

I wouldn't want to mention why I miss the chance to further my studies here.
The architecthure of the campus building is gorgeous.

The pillar looks so strong with the Uni logo attached to it. Its clean and nice. I was told that this building was there since 40 years back or longer. Very well maintained. It could be due to the school fee structure. That for a Single course. It may cost up to 24k AUD per annum. It is not the most expensive but if were to convert back in Malaysia. That will be about Rm 72k. Currently Fresh graduate will get pay about 3k at max. Assuming with the saving of 1k per month. I need 6 years to pay back my tuition fees.

Conclusion, very costly to study overseas. :(

The main Building of UQ

The campus area is huge. Unlike Monash Malaysia where it is attached to Sunway College during my study period. With the same concept you can only find this kind of environment at University Malaya. :S From one place to another need to drive/take bus. It takes me only 15 minutes to walk from one point and circle the whole building and come back to the starting point At Sunway Campus Mys. :S haih

Its safe enough to walk at this pathway. Dont try this back in Malaysia. You will most likely get robbed or kidnap :S

Library at UQ.

Its only 3.30pm, Sun set. Weather turns even colder. We goota rush back to cook dinner.

This picture taken at 3.30pm.

Direct Factory Outlet

Its far. About an hour drive from Brisbane street. About 13 Zone away. 1/2 of the Journey to Gold Coast. While driving on the highway, we actually pass by Dreamworld, Movieworld, and Wetn'Wild. Each individual world is really huge. Probably 3-5 times what we have at Sunway Lagoon.

Open air shopping complex concept only works for cold weather country.

Food arena at DFO.

Harbour Town, Direct Factory Outlet, Brisbane, Queensland.

This is the trademark logo for Harbourtown DFO. Center ring. I actually got sesat there. Wide area. Lots of shops. Good Shopping experience. Cheap stuff.

Sale. Everyday also Sale. up to 70%. What crap. Go inside the store canot find a single item which is 70% off. :S But at DFO. They really mark down the price. I think they are having the same concept like the Bandung DFO. Just that this place is very well manage. Bandung is horrible. We were shouting while crossing the road. Hope that the driver will notice and stop for milisecond for us to cross.

At Harbourtown, you need not worry about that. What i worry most is i couldn't find food to eat. Again a meal here would cost about 10 Dollar.

On the way back we stop by Yatala Pie house for our tea break.

xw, Calvin, Sw, Jason
At atala Pie House.

Honestly, the pie is just so so. I can make better pie than they do :S hehe....

I forget what pie is this. Mushroom Pie i guess. Vegetarian Aiks.

Custard? Mushroom? Cocoa Powder? Pie?

Brisbane City

I have my most expensive meal in Australia at Brisbane Chinatown.

Its just a street with Chinese typical decoration. And they call it Chinatown. Unlike our petaling street here where they sell Pirated Handbags. I only know that the parking here for the first hour it Cost 6 AUD and second hour onwards it cost 12 AUD. Ridiculous. You goota prepare few hundred for parking each day.

Right at the end of this road is where the Japanese restarant located. I forget what is the name of it but we had buffet for night. My last night at Bris. (Pictures to be uploaded next time) heheh....

Right opposite the train station, this is what you will see. Some fire in the middle of the ring that seems to have unlimited supply of gas. It will never goes off. I was told that, this monumen is to remember those who die during the war? Like Our Tugu Peringatan?

The stairs on the left hand side lead straight to the Queenstreet. Main street at Brisbane for Shoppings and the most happening place is there. Unfortunately, i did not have the picture taken on this particular week. :D

Here i conclude the short entry to three different places i went at Brisbane.

Upcoming..... Gold Coast n Melbourne.
